I didn't really want this page to be created, I guess it is too late now.
I like to edit theme park topics, previously including theme park albums. I genuinely want to improve articles, and I do not lie or make things up when I edit something, I can make mistakes without knowing. I like to edit the technical side of articles such as: correcting info, adding info, adding links, attraction facts, references, spelling, and infobox template.
I've created a infobox template for Disney attractions (Template:Infobox Disney attraction) that is being used on many articles, but it is currently being challenged.
My thoughts on infoboxes: I think they should only contain basic information. Articles that have huge infoboxes (or templates) that take up most of the right side of the article force pictures to be on the left. When that happens, it becomes very annoying to actually read the article (examples: [1] [2]).
I have come to the conclusion that the Disney company doesn't care much for their history. The Disney channel gave up everything of historic value. They sometimes talk about the 50s and 60s only because Walt was still alive, but what about the 70s, and 80s? I guess since the public considers those eras "tacky" (think 70s and 80s styles) or "boring" (think EPCOT Center), they want to cover up as much of that as they can. I enjoy the culture of those time periods, I love the creative and imaginative EPCOT Center.
I don't think they care much for celebrations either. Year of a Million Dreams is lame, where are individual park celebrations? Something that anyone can enjoy, not just some random group of people. And what about finales with a salute to America in parades and fireworks? Maybe they are too afraid someone would be offended and cut them out.
