Image talk:Bose Einstein condensate.png
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nice image. What values are these graphs measuring? - AHG3
It displays the optical density of an atomic cloud released from a magnetic trap, as its temperature is decreased. On the first image only an ultracold thermal cloud is present. On second image, a Bose-Einstein condensate is formed, still surrounded by a thermal cloud. The third image shows a pure condensate (coherent matter ensemble, at a temperature very close to absolute zero).

I am glad that the Federal Government of the United States of America releases their works into the public domain - as it should be since that would mean people would have to double pay for the works otherwise (once with their taxes, and then again to access it).
Contact me if you want to try and pursuade that the Government of Canada should do the same, and the provinces as well. --ShaunMacPherson 14:39, 22 August 2005 (UTC)
