Bradley County is a county located in the U.S. state of Arkansas. As of the 2000 census, the population is 12,600. The county seat is Warren. Bradley County is Arkansas's 43rd county, formed on December 18, 1840 and named for Captain Hugh Bradley, who fought in the War of 1812. It is an alcohol prohibition or dry county.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 1,695 km² (654 mi²). 1,685 km² (651 mi²) of it is land and 10 km² (4 mi²) of it (0.57%) is water.

As of the census2 of 2000, there were 12,600 people, 4,834 households, and 3,388 families residing in the county. The population density was 7/km² (19/mi²). There were 5,930 housing units at an average density of 4/km² (9/mi²). The racial makeup of the county was 63.36% White, 28.63% Black or African American, 0.24% Native American, 0.06% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 6.95% from other races, and 0.75% from two or more races. 8.25% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 4,834 households out of which 29.50% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.20% were married couples living together, 14.50% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.90% were non-families. 27.60% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.90% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 2.96.
In the county the population was spread out with 23.60% under the age of 18, 9.70% from 18 to 24, 26.50% from 25 to 44, 22.80% from 45 to 64, and 17.50% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 97.70 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.80 males.
The median income for a household in the county was $24,821, and the median income for a family was $30,753. Males had a median income of $28,228 versus $18,098 for females. The per capita income for the county was $13,895. About 20.60% of families and 26.30% of the population were below the poverty line, including 33.10% of those under age 18 and 20.80% of those age 65 or over.
