Brian McGowan (b. 1 January 1938, Barham, New South Wales) was an Australian politician, elected as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly.

McGowan played Australian rules football with the South Melbourne Football Club, playing 118 games during the 1960s. He was just 165cm tall and played as a rover.
