Buggiano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pistoia in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 45 km northwest of Florence and about 15 km southwest of Pistoia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 8,462 and an area of 16.1 km².[1]
The municipality of Buggiano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Borgo a Buggiano, Buggiano, Colle di Buggiano, Malocchio, Pittini, S. Maria, and Stignano.
Buggiano borders the following municipalities: Chiesina Uzzanese, Massa e Cozzile, Montecatini-Terme, Pescia, Ponte Buggianese, Uzzano.
