From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Eastern Eye is a DVD and video distribution label of Australian company Madman Entertainment that specialises in Asian films, specifically live action genre films (action, horror etc.).
Eastern Eye entered the market in early 2004 with the local DVD release of Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. The label also has the exclusive release rights to the popular films Azumi, Joint Security Area, Infernal Affairs and Ong-Bak: Muay Thai Warrior, some of which were released theatrically in Australia by Madman Cinema, another Madman Entertainment label.
Eastern Eye is also the title of a British weekly newspaper of the Ethnic Media Group.
