Ekaterina Gordeeva and Sergei Grinkov were a legendary Russian figure skating pair, who were also husband and wife. They are widely regarded as the best figure skating pair of all time[1].
They won the Junior World Championships, four Senior World Championships, two Olympic gold medals and three World Professional Championship titles, along with many other medals and accolades. They remain one of the most influential, celebrated and highly decorated pair teams in the history of the sport. Many people consider them to be the greatest pair team ever to take the ice. They are often referred to as "G&G". The pair was broken up at the untimely death of Grinkov in 1995 at the age of 28. The couples only child, Daria Sergeyevna Grinkova, was born in 1992[2].
