Elio Carletti (1925 - 1980) was an acclaimed Italian impressionist artist. His works were exhibited in most major museums in Italy. He was also an inspector for the Italian police.
His artistic works are characterised by flowing subtle colors that appear to illuminate and "glow". Scenes of the Italian countryside and village life were his trademark. Elio was awarded the Italian medal of honor for artistic brilliance in the early 70's by an Italian Minister.
