Esimple started as an idea of a few friends to share a space and to get together and play music back in 1999, in the northern province of Heredia in Costa Rica.
Starting out as a Independent Punk Rock band, the Moraga brothers Isacc and Abidan along with Daniel Gonzales and Harold Nichols “Chol” played their first concert live on April 16, 1999 at the Universidad Nacional (U.N.A).
During the years of 2000-2001 Esimple (know back then as E-simple) played with many bands in the punk rock and underground scene like: 2 Minutos, Bersuit Vergarabat, El Guato, UFO, and Insano.
In late 2001 Drummer Harold Nichols “Chol” left the band and Diego Rojas took his place. By the year 2002, as with many developing bands whose members have moved on in pursuit of their own sound, Esimple took the songs they played to the recording studio, and the record "Es Facil, Es Sencillo" was born. A record composed mostly of the bands new music which was Esimples expansion from the underground / punk rock circle, this left a few of the older fans wanting an album with the music they had first heard when they met the band.
by the time they are 4 years old Esimple has played with bands like 2 minutos and Bersuit from Argentina, they were also the organizers of the del Punk Rock Fest, the first punk rock festival ever produced in Costa Rica.
The band spends most of the year 2003 playing a promotional tour for the record and teams up with bands like Inconsciente Colectivo, Nada, Xpunkha, Seka, Cabuya, Exnobia, Sintagma, Elemento and Neo to a achieve a decent amount of publicity for the album.
Early 2004 reunites the band back in the studio and as promised to the fans their second album “Son Tus Sueños”is made up of many of the first songs that made the band popular: Son Tu Sueños, Cosecha, Semana Santa, Me Haces Falta amongst others.
Since these songs represented Esimples initial music the band decided to make them available for free download once a week through their website Esimple.org (now offline).
A CD release of Son Tus Sueños was done in a small scale in mid 2005 and with the drummer leaving the band, they took a sabbatical and started to write new material.
The new album “Macguivers” is scheduled for release in 2007.
Esimple is formed by, Isaac Moraga “Papin” (guitar/vocals), Daniel González (guitar), Abidán Moraga (bass/vocals)and Jordan Lobo (Drummer)
