Evan Mervyn Davies

Evan Mervyn Davies CBE (born November 21, 1952) is the current chairman of Standard Chartered Bank and Non-Executive Director of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and Tesco. Prior to this he assumed the role of Group Chief Executive of Standard Chartered PLC since November 2001, having joined the Board as a Group Executive Director in December 1997.
Davies was educated at Harvard Business School's Programme for Management Development and is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers.
In 2002, he was awarded CBE for his contribution to the financial sector and the community of Hong Kong.
He is married with two children.
