Is William Williams really Fat Tony's proper name?

I just assumed it was just a bad attempt at a un-Italian pseudonym so as not to arouse suspicion.

Is his name based on Tony Soprano?

Nope, Fat Tony predates GTA3 by far. krik kert 10 July 2005 01:08 CEST(GMT+2)

@JP: Well, I just assumed that with the advent of Wikiquote, and the advice to give information that one would expect to find in an encyclopaedia, a quote repository would be what Wikipedia is not. It doesn't say that anywhere there though - I'm going to go inquire at the Pump or Help or somewhere similar.

Shouldn't we mention something about him and his antics being an obvious parody of the Godfather? Not only did he once mention that he cried when he paid to see Godfather III, his son's name is Michael. 24.63.237.46 16:49, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

He cannot be named after Tony Soprano or Tony C. from GTA 3 becasue he appeared in his first episode in the early or mid 1990's before that game and show existed He was named after Anthony" Fat Tony" Salerno the boss of the Genovease CRime Family in the '70s

William Williams is already mentioned in the article text and is not his "official" name. PMA 13:59, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
