Fiend Is Like Friend Without the "R" is the 4th episode of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. It first aired October 5, 2001 on Cartoon Network, and marks the first appearance of the recurring character Nergal.

Nergal kidnaps Billy, Mandy and Grim and puts them in his home in the center of the Earth. He then reveals to Grim why he captured them: he is very lonely in his home and he was watching them "having fun"(Nergal shows pictures of Billy and Mandy torturing Grim). He wants to keep the kids in the center of the Earth, forever. Billy and Mandy are expecting Grim to rescue them, but Grim sees his chance to get rid of them forever and simply runs away. However, back at home, Grim sees that he was wrong and he returns to save them.
