Fig 4.0 (pronounced "Figure Four" but written as "Fig 4.0" to avoid confusion with the Canadian band "Figure Four") were a popular and influential harcore/metalcore punk band from Leeds, UK. Formed in 1999 from the remnants of skacore act "Tinker's Rucksack", Fig 4.0 abandoned the comedy songs and ska covers of their previous incarnation in favour of a heavier metalcore sound and more personal lyrics. 2001 saw the release of the critically acclaimed album Action Image Exchange which presented a series of short, sharp hardcore songs, characterising the band's cound. After several years as popular stars of the DIY/underground punk rock scene and growing underground success in the States, the band split in 2004.
Joe and Steve of Fig 4.0 are currently active in the band The Dauntless Elite.
