Evgeni Viktorovich Plushenko (Russian: Евге́ний Ви́кторович Плю́щенко, born November 3, 1982 in Solnechny, Khabarovsk Krai, Soviet Union (now Russia)) is the 2002 Olympic silver medalist and 2006 Olympic champion. He was a child prodigy, winning the World Junior Figure Skating Championships at the age of fourteen. Over his career, he collected a total of seven Russian national tites and five European titles. Between the 2002 and 2006 Olympics, Plushenko was only beaten twice.
