According to some ex-members of the church, there is little outside control of financial information related to the church. Pastor Johnston and his family live in pricey homes in desirable neighborhoods and have in the past refused to release information on finances of the church to members of the church or the board of directors. According to some other ex-members, this is not so and purely the opinion of some angry ex-church members.
