Flaggermusmannen, is a Norwegian crime novel from 1997, written by Jo Nesbø.
The story revolves around the Norwegian police officer Harry Hole, who is asked by the Australian police to help them solve the murder of a Norwegian B-celebrity. In King's Cross, one of Sydney's more shady suburbs, he walks the streets among prostitutes, pimps, and pushers. It does not take long until he realizes that he has unwantedly become an important part of a dangerous game that he will just have to solve - one way or another. This is the first book featuring Harry Hole.
