[edit] Summary
Fluorescein in dropper used for eye exam.
PhotoID: 20048423617 Submitted by: MCB Camp Butler
Caption: CAMP HANSEN, OKINAWA, Japan – Flourescein is dropped into a patient’s eye to make his eyes easier to examine during various procedures using the slit lamp, a microscope device used to evaluate many aspects of eye health. Flourescein is a combination of anesthetic and dye. The dye makes certain areas in the eye glow and easier to see. The optometry clinics here and aboard Marine Corps Air Station Futenma extended their eye care service beginning Aug. 2, from three days to five days each week, saving hundreds of lost man-hours spent traveling to the hospital on Camp Lester for eye care.
