Foreland Point

Foreland Point is a rocky headland in North Devon near Lynmouth. The highest cliff is 89 metres above the High Tide. Though the expanse of the headland puts its highest point near Countisbury at 302 metres. Foreland point is the most Northernly area of land in Devon, and the Exmoor coast. There is a Lighthouse on the Point which was established in 1900, electricity was bought to the lighthouse in 1975, and it was automated in 1994. The light is 67 metres above the High Tide, and flashes 4 times every 15 seconds.
The Headland is owned by the National Trust, some areas are open to public access all year, while other areas have limited access.
