Franceso Balilla Pratella (February 1, 1880 - May 17, 1955) Italian composer and musicologist. Studied at the Pesaro conservatory where he was a pupil of Mascagni. Signed the Futurist Manifesto in 1911 and composed a number of modernist works for voice as well as for orchestra and chamber ensemble. He is most known, however, for his dedication to collecting the folk music of his native region of Italy, Romagna.
