Free Church of Scotland

The Free Church of Scotland was the name of that part of the Scottish Church that that seceded from the Church of Scotland in the Disruption of 1843. On which see Free Church of Scotland (1843-1900).
The Free Church of Scotland is also the name that continued to be used by that part of the Free Church of 1843 that remained outside of the union with the United Presbyterian Church of Scotland in 1900. On which see Free Church of Scotland (post 1900).
