Gary Twigg

Gary Twigg (born 19 March 1984 in Glasgow) is a Scottish footballer who plays with Airdrie United in the Scottish Football League.
Twigg began his career with English club Derby County having came through the youth system. He made his debut for Derby at the age of 17 in a Premiership match against Sunderland in May 2002[1], his only appearance that season.
The following season (2002-03) he made 8 first team appearances, seven as a substitute. In September 2003 he joined Burton Albion on loan for whom he made 4 appearances scoring one goal. He also had a loan spell at Bristol Rovers later that season, featuring 8 times but failing to find the net.
Having been released by Derby, and following an unsuccessful trial period at League of Ireland club Derry City, he joined Airdrie United in August 2005.
