Gavin Henderson

Gavin Henderson is a British musician. He is principal of Trinity College of Music (TCM) and the Artistic Director of Dartington International Summer School. Among other posts, he lists the following:
Chairman of the National Foundation for Youth Music; Chairman of the Arts Council of England's Music Panel; Vice President of the British Arts Festivals Association and the European Festivals Association; Governor of Chethams School, Manchester; Chairman of Arts Worldwide/World Circuit Arts.
Prior to taking up the post at Trinity College of Music, Henderson was the Artistic Director of Brighton Festival and was also a noted trumpeter. He is well-known throughout the artistic community for his vibrant and innovative approaches to the arts, and was responsible for moving TCM to its new premises in the Old Royal Naval College at Greenwich and for the recent merger with Laban (a nearby school of contemporary dance) to form Trinity Laban.
