[edit] Incorrect Name
I believe that the name of this image, and the description provided at the Wikipedia article is incorrect. Gentoo is a versionless distribution, a 2006.0 install is no more or less up to date than a 2004.3 install after an emerge -uD world. By saying that this is a screenshot of 2006.0 it gives the impression that Gentoo has versions, which it does not. All the version really connotes is the install media version (of the live cd used to install Gentoo) and is not related to how up to date the install is.
- I agree, even though there's a note below in the article explaining this. Furthermore, "Gentoo 2006.0 Desktop" implies that this is how Gentoo looks like afer you install 2006.0, which is, of course, not true. --LiquidFire 14:27, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

I think it would be nice to list what programs are running. I believe I see the Gimp and Konsole. I would like to know what the window manager is and that monitoring app, please forgive my ignorance. Also shouldn't a Gentoo screenshot include 3d display manager http://gentoo-wiki.com/Image:Xglcompiz1.png :).--Dpetzold 05:36, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
