George Tomlinson Mclean, also known as George "Dandy" Mclean, played for Rangers F.C as a centre-forward after transferring from St Mirren F.C in 1962 for a record fee of £27,500. He then went on to play for Rangers for 5 years until 1967. Dandy is today recognized as a great player and friend to many.
George Mclean was born in 26th of May 1943 in Paisley, Scotland to the parents Andy and Mary Mclean. George attended Carbrok Street Primary at the age of 5; this is where the sporting legend kindled his interest in football. As George grew older his talent was recognized and his sporting career began as the tender age of 15, where we joined a small football club called Drum Chapel Amateurs and he played with them until he was offered a position on the St Mirren side in 1959 at the age of 16. By this time Mclean was beginning to make a name for himself in the sporting community. After playing with St Mirren for a term of three years he was he was transferred to Rangers F.C for a record price (between Scottish clubs at the time) of £27,500. This proves he was recognized as a player of high caliber. Playing with the Glasgow Ranger's side was the highlight of Dandy’s career, where he was a key player is winning many championships.

His some of his closest Friends were, Rod Stewart, Billy Connolly, Sir Alex Ferguson, Sean Connery, Marjorie Wallace who was the holder of the title Mrs. World. George Mclean now lives happily in Sydney, Australia with his loving children (who are all grown up) and his 8 grandchildren Daniel, Marney, Chloe, Adrienne, Hannah, Byron, Nelson and Bradley. Along with his many friends, workmates and drinking pals.

Defeating Dundee F.C in a score of 3-1.
- Rangers vs. Real Madrid
in the European cup against Ferance Puskas and Alfredo Stefano, Unfortunately defeated in a score of 6-0 which three are accredited to Ference Puskas.
- Eufa Cup
Against standard Lieage in Eufa Cup they won 4-1 in an away game in Belguim where George scored all four goals.
