This user account is a bot operated by Gimmetrow (talk).
It is not a sock puppet, but rather an automated or semi-automated account for making repetitive edits that would be extremely tedious to do manually. |
This bot handles tasks related to WP:FAC and WP:FAR, with flag:
- Adding notices to closed FAC discussion pages
- Adding notices to closed FAR discussion pages
- Updating article talk page templates after FA candidacy or FA review
- Archiving FAC and FAR discussion pages (mostly with the Wikipedia:Featured article* prefix)
- Removing the FA star from articles demoted through FA review
If a new message is added to the bot talk page, bot is programmed to complete processing any partially-processed FA discussion page (may involve 3-5 additional edits), then prompt for an OK to continue.
This bot will (eventually) archive old FAC discussions in a one-time pass implementing {{ArticleHistory}}.
