Girlsnberry is a shade of purplish red. It is slightly less pink than cerise. The name was originally seen in a Title Nine sports equipment catalog, and hearkens readers to either the crunch berries available in Cap'n Crunch (though crunch berries are more red), or to a feminine version of boysenberry.
