Glen Eden Train Station is located on the Western Line of the Auckland Railway Network. The station house is a local historical landmark, that was restored in 2001. It has a cafe located in the old station building.
When first opened it's major function was as a station to service the Waikumete Cemetery. Special trains ran from Auckland on Sunday's carring the deceased and their entourage, the coffins were carried in special carriages marked with white crosses.
