[edit] Gas lamps
The statement that there are ony 3,000 gas lamps in the US is baseless. There are over 2,000 in Boston's neighborhoods alone. Does anyone who lives there have a count of the number of gas lamps? Or a published reference to a useful count? Thanks!

[edit] Unsubstantiated claims
Odd that there's no mention of either Tom Cruise or the town's famous rapist student-athletes. Kind of sad, really, in the case of the latter; but typical.
- As a resident, I can attest that the town as a whole is upset about the generalizations made. If this is to be included (and I think it should, for completeness), it would have to be done tastefully and objectively. I am interested in your "kind of sad" refrence; it is natrual and fair to be defensive when most of the people that know your town know it as a rapist haven, which is not true at all. Everybody I know is mortified that such an atrocity could be comitted. They are only defensive because of generalizations and implications made

[edit] New York, Montclair and Greenwood Lake Railroad
My source (http://njmidland.railfan.net/history.htm) says the railroad was the New York & Greenwood Lake Railway, not the New York, Montclair and Greenwood Lake Railroad.

I'll see if we can get someone to write up the Civic Conference Committee.
