GlobalCorps, a division of XL Associates, Inc., works under contract to the U. S. Agency for International Development / Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA) to recruit Personal Services Contractors (PSCs) needed to support open professional positions within the agency.
The Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) is the office within USAID responsible for directing and coordinating U.S. Government relief assistance overseas. OFDA provides humanitarian assistance through mitigation and disaster response to rapid and slow onset disasters as well as complex emergencies.
OFDA provides assistance to all types of natural disasters, including earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, cyclones, floods, droughts, fires, pest infestations, and disease outbreaks. OFDA also responds when lives are threatened by accidental or human-caused catastrophes such as civil conflict, acts of terrorism, or industrial accidents. In addition to emergency assistance, OFDA funds mitigation activities to reduce the impact of recurrent natural disasters and training activities to build a country's capacities for local disaster management and response.
In addition to the recruiting team, we also provide administrative and contracting support services as requested by OFDA in support of agency needs.
