"Goodbye To Romance" is a ballad by Ozzy Osbourne. This was the first Osbourne song ever written[citation needed]. It is often said to refer to Osbourne's first wife leaving him, however it was later stated to be about Osbourne's departure from Black Sabbath[citation needed]. It was covered by Lisa Loeb for a Tribute to Ozzy CD.
Goodbye to Romance is seen by many as one of the first true monster ballads.
The chord progression is borrowed from the well-known Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel.[citation needed]
