Talk:Grand argument story
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Request for clarification - Is e.g. “the Lord of the Rings” a grand argument?
Just checking - I'm not enough of an english speaker to understand the subtleties of this article, but I'd fathom the answer is “yes”. The thing getting argued about would be the wether power can corrupt any man (a question that was already pondered by ancient Greeks, see Ring of Gyges), and the fates of the various members in the Fellowship would represent different points of view around this argument. Am I correct in seeing a grand argument there? If not, why? DomQ 12:53, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
