[edit] Not the same as SVO
The Greasecar is a different topic than Straight Vegetable Oil. At the moment the articles may be similar but eventually they will contain different information, one about the fuel and the other about how the car uses it.
Also, please note that Greasecars can also run on WVO (Waste Vegetable Oil) after it is filtered.
[edit] Trans fats effects on Greasecar viability?
We're already seeing a big crackdown on Trans fats in the US and I was wondering what effect this might have on Greasecars and potential US Biodiesel production in general. Are trans fat cooking oils or their replacements most ideal for greasecars? Is there any difference between the various oils in greasecar mileage, or for that matter the quantity used for the cooking in the first place? (Would the same quantity of trans fat cooking oil replacements be used for the same task?) Maybe there won't be a difference, but I am concerned that the elimination of trans fat cooking oils could have a minor, unintended negative side effect for greasecars and biodiesel.
