[edit] Lack of Balance of Content

I intend to add sections to this page concerning the history of this organisation, it's current operations, the view of many observers that it operates as a cult and the reports of former members on the effects on their mental and spiritual health. Any attempt to change this page results in reversion and a claim of vandalism (although I was successful in getting you to remove copyright claims). My aim is a balanced view so to that end I have contacted former members who may also wish to improve the content.

If after the previous edit war you attempt to exert further editorial control I will ask for arbitration. I believe I am working within the policies and the spirit of Wikipedia and I strongly believe that you are not.

I suggest you take the opportunity to discuss.

After writing this my view of the history updated and I see that others have been involved at last. I will await their concensus although I see that the -revert vandalism- knee jerk response is still there!

Rather than delete large portions of the present article, why don't you try creating a new section, and than add your "neutral point of view" comments, concerning GGWO. Any "neutral point of view" comments you add, should be verifiable.

I went back to check what I believe to have been some of your edits and several times you deleted almost the entire first sentence of the main article [shown below].

The Greater Grace World Outreach is a family oriented Christian ministry. They preach the Gospel and the whole counsel of God from a Finished Work perspective. GGWO have a Christ-centered home church in Baltimore, Maryland, and affiliated ministries throughout the world, which believe and practice the cardinal doctrines of the faith.

Paul. In my opinion the above sentence is totally accurate and belongs in the present article.

I would recommend that if you do not agree with that first sentence, try adding a new section and post in that new section, in "neutral point of view" language, your view of GGWO.

I have rethought my previous edit. The entire first sentence that was previously in the main article was most likely a copyright violation, as it is found word for word in a GGWO website.

Someonw put a massive attack on this page which I have removed. However there may nbe other stuff also changed. Please note the statemtne of faith by th GGWo is copyright so cannot be copied wholesale. Rich Farmbrough. 23:42, 17 December 2005 (UTC)

I have made some changes to how this article is organized, but I have not deleted the "massive attack on this page" which another editor restored since 17, December 2005.

[edit] Copyright information on a Wiki page

I note the statement about copyright information. Not at all sure you should be putting up copyrighted information on a wiki entry and then asserting rights over it. When you put the comment in did you not read the notice "Content that violates any copyright will be deleted. Encyclopedic content must be verifiable. You agree to license your contributions under the GFDL."

The links to web sites alledging that this organisation is a cult, or reporting views of former members who now state this, have been removed. Similarly the helpful comments of 'Tragic Romance' (on a previous version of this discussion talk page) that the facts should be documented have also been removed. I'm inclined to reinclude links which report facts and experiences at odds with the organisation's official view to maintain balance. What does everyone else think? I do not understand the "cult references" when it comes to GGWO. I knew of these charges and saw the attack pages on the web about Pastor Stevens, GGWO, and the ministry as a whole. Since then, I have become involved with the ministry, and the college. So far all that I have gotten out of this church is a deeper understanding of accepted christian dochtrine, and a better knowlege of the bible. I have been careful and discerning since becoming involved and I see NO CULTISH, or CULT LIKE, pracices from the leadership of this church. Just sound biblical teaching based on God's grace. I've been taught that I need to think for myself and test what people say and teach against scripture. Don't sound like a cult to me.Pitbull4799 23:34, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
