Guatemalan rock or Rock Chapin is a genre of rock music which has been growing since the mid 1990s.

Bands like Bohemia Suburbana, Viernes Verde, Viento en Contra are the most recognizable Guatemalan bands that have pushed rock tendencies into the new millennium.
The band that opened many doors for the rock chapin movement was Alux Nahual. Alux is allegedly one of the three Spanish-speaking rock bands that has sold out the Los Angeles Palace.
