Gunnie

"Gunnie" is the term used in the Royal Australian Airforce RAAF, referring to a an Armourer or Aircraft tradesperson who maintains, aircraft ordnance, weapons, ejection seats or any other device that contains explosive material used in the RAAF. A major function of their trade is Explosive Ordnance Demolition EOD and the safe removal of Unexploded Bombs UXB's. Fiercely Independent of the other aircraft trades, "Without Armament there Is no need for an Airforce" has been their motto since Lord Trenchard uttered those famous words prior to WWI.
