Héctor López

Héctor Headley López Swainson (born July 9, 1929 Colón, Panama) was a Major League Baseball player for the Kansas City Athletics and New York Yankees from 1955 to 1966. Lopez, who was one of the first players to come from Panama, had his best season in 1959, splitting time with both the Athletics and Yankees, as he hit 22 home runs, had 93 runs batted in and hit for a .283 batting average. Lopez also was a part of the Yankees' World Series winning teams in 1961 and 1962. He played first base, second base, shortstop, third base and the outfield.
