When a girl turns up dead in Jackson Park, Lt. Connie Murphy gives Harry access to the scene, and lets the wizard interview the victim's roommate, Heather Bram. Soon after discovering that the murdered girl was a lycanthrope, Harry finds that the case has being commandeered by a pair of FBI agents. As Harry closes in on the identity of the killer, he finds himself and Heather targeted by the agents in charge of the investigation. And when Heather is abducted by her roommate's killer, Harry discovers that she is actually the final piece of a werewolf's ritualistic endgame.
