TV.com summary |
Hannay was a 1988 spin-off from the 1978 film version of John Buchan's novel The Thirty-Nine Steps.
Again starring Robert Powell as the title character (and hero of the Buchan novel) Richard Hannay, an Edwardian mining engineer from South Africa of Scottish origin, the series told the story of his adventures in the Great Britain of 1915. These were based on John Buchan's other novels about the character.
There were two series, the first with six episodes, the second with seven.
