[edit] Please respect copyright
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the Tony Yayo article, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."
You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. Can't sleep, clown will eat me 03:33, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Djgreenlantern-countdowntoarmageddon2backtothelab.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Djgreenlantern-countdowntoarmageddon2backtothelab.png. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ↔NMajdan•talk 17:29, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- The license itself is correct. But since the image is a fair use image, it needs detailed fair use rationale. Once that is provided, you can simply remove the notice I added.↔NMajdan•talk 17:44, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. You can find out more about fair use rationale at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline. I believe that page should answer any questions you have. If not, you can either ask me on my talk page or at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.↔NMajdan•talk 19:02, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
