Hasefroch

Hasefroch is an alternative name to the word "Windows", the name of the Microsoft's Operating System. This word is used inside the computers' world, between GNU/Linux users' communities. The word Hasefroch was first said by MKD and explained, afterwards, by C2H5OH to the GNU/Linux User Organization from Balearic Islands, BULMA.
This pseudonym was born from a bet between two FreeBSD users, as of that moment. With the nicknames of C2H5OH and MKD, they used to say this word instead of the real one to refer to Microsoft's Operating System. With a paceful goal, they didn't want to insult anyone, they just decided to not to say that word since, actually, they weren't even using that product. This way, more and more, there was a trend which started to grow between GNU/Linux and Free Software communities, taking this word instead of the original one.
Nowadays, many Free Software supporting communities and many free-distributed operating systems' users use this word to talk about Windows. The word was said for the first time as of 2002, and the concrete article were it was introduced into the Internet community was this one: ¿Qué significa Hasefroch? (in Spanish).
