Heinkel He 277
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Heinkel He 277 was four-engined derivative of the Heinkel He 177. The main difference was in the engine configuration. Rather using two of the problematic and fire-prone Daimler-Benz DB 610s, which consisted of paired Daimler-Benz DB 605s, the He 277 used four Daimler-Benz DB 603s, each mounted in an individual nacelle. Only a few prototypes were built.
