Bachs Art of Fugue
How in my opinion a completion of Contrapunctus XIV should look like. Correct my if im wrong.
- Should be playable on piano without use of the pedal. Like all the fugues are in the art of fugue.
- Most of the time it should be possible to play Soprano(S) and Alt(A) in the right and Tenor(T) and Bass(T) in the left hand.
- Most of the melodic struture should be in S and A. Most of the fugues sound correct if played with the right hand voices only.
- Subject from Contrapunctus I should be used as fourth theme.
- (There should be a caesura before the fourt theme introduction. Like there is at the preceding two themes)
I think the Zoltán Göncz version uses some very bright ideas, but it still does not sound like Bach.
