Henok Goitom (born September 16, 1984 in Solna Municipality) is a Swedish football (soccer) striker. Currently plays on loan for Ciudad de Murcia in Segunda División but is contracted to Udinese Calcio of Serie A until 2009.
He has Eritrean descent, but he is a regular starter for the Swedish U-21s in 2006. He was on the verge of breaking into Sweden's 2006 World Cup squad in Germany. His playing style is similar to a Swedish mastermind Internazionale striker Zlatan Ibrahimović. His attributes are that he is pacy and powerful and has an eye for goal.
Goitom has recently been linked with English Premiership such as Aston Villa, Sheffield Utd, Wigan Athletic, Man City and in the past SPL leaders Celtic. Clubs in the Spanish La Liga such as Malaga and rivals Real Murcia have also been intrested in applying his service
Henok Goitom is not to be confused with Haile Goitom who played for Eritrea national football team.
