Medal of Honor: Heroes is a World War II first-person shooter video game developed by EA Canada for the PlayStation Portable. It was released on October 23, 2006 in North America.[1][2]
The game contains three campaigns, featuring characters from the previous Medal of Honor games such as Lieutenant Jimmy Patterson (from the original Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor: Frontline), Sergeant John Baker (from Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Breakthrough), as well as Lieutenant William Holt (from Medal of Honor: European Assault).
Medal of Honor: Heroes also features an online multiplayer that allows for 32 players to enter a match without waiting in a lobby. It also lets the player access real era weapons that give it that authentic look and feel. These include the M1 Garand, Thompson submachine guns, Colt 1911 pistols, and bazookas. Gameplay modes include "HTL" (hold the line), "DM" (deathmatch) and "CTF" (capture the flag). Unlike most other online multiplayer games, no points are awarded even if the player successfully brings an enemy flag back to the base and scores.

[edit] Plot Synopsis
The player takes the role of various past heroes from the Medal of Honor series. There are 3 different campaigns, each with its own "Hero" that spearheads squads to complete objectives. These heroes are : Lt. Jimmy Patterson, who was the star of the original Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor: Frontline, Sergeant John Baker from Medal of Honor Allied Assault Breakthrough, and Lt. William Holt from Medal of Honor European Assault. The campaigns take place in Italy, Holland, and in Belgium.
After the player beats the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium, they are treated to the end cinematic. We learn of what happened to the heroes, like how Lt. Jimmy Patterson proposed to Manon, but the mission briefer tells us that a response hasn't been reported yet. We also learn of a final ending to Medal of Honor Rising Sun. Joseph Griffin, main character of Rising Sun, was planning out POW rescue raids, which means he eventually saved his brother.
[edit] Gameplay
The majority of the gameplay is fairly similar throughout the game. Objectives include sabotage, infiltration, capturing certain points, etc. The game was rarely but surely criticised for its lack of variety in objectives and gameplay. Most missions in each campaign include the player blowing something up, killing a certain number of enemies, etc. and then sometimes returning to a certain location to escape. The gameplay itself was well executed, with superb animation and somewhat intelligent AI. There are three different levels to be attained in each level, Bronze, Silver and Gold. To score Bronze the player has to complete all primary objectives. To score Silver he must complete the Primary and Secondary objectives. Gold is the same as silver but the player must have high accuracy and kills. Obtaining these different levels increases your rank and helps the player to complete the game 100%. As the player progresses in the game he can unlock skins to use in multiplayer and skirmish mode.
