[edit] Retroactive statehood?
On August 7, 1953, it was retroactively declared that Ohio became a U.S. state on March 1, 1803.
As a long-time Ohio resident, I have heard this one before (and how none of the OH-born presidents were legitimate because they were not born in a state), but I don't know of any source document for it. Any body? --Mddake 07:07, 30 July 2005 (UTC)
==I had some extra time this morning, so I did some research and found this information: Enabling Act of 1802 that addresses the issue. --Mddake 10:12, 30 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Naming convention
I've proposed a standard form for naming articles on Ohio school districts: Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Ohio school districts), which could easily be extended to apply to districts in other states. I'd welcome some feedback on this. PedanticallySpeaking 16:52, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
