HM Prison Won Wron is a minimum security Australian prison located in Won Wron, Victoria, Australia. It was closed in late 2004 dealing a death blow, some say, to the small near-by town of Yarram, where a large number of the serving Prison Officers lived. HM Prison Won Wron was noteworthy in that it held a fun-run with the tongue-in-cheek name of "Prisoners on the Run" annually on Easter Sunday, with the goal of raising funds to help support disabled and disadvanted children in the Gippsland area. One of the major drawcards of the event, along side the fun-run itself, was the raffle, tickets for which were sold for the better part of six months leading up to the event. Legend has it that every person living in Yarram while the Prison was still open has bought at least one ticket.
