Ho-Pin Tung

Ho-Pin Tung (董荷斌, pinyin: Dǒng Hébīn, born December 4, 1982 in Velp, Netherlands) is a Chinese-Dutch auto-racing driver.
He started kart racing in Holland 1997 with excellent results, later participating in many Formula races.
Tung won the 2003 Formula BMW Asia series and was rewarded with a test drive with the Williams F1 team. This F1 test was widely reported in China.
In 2004 he joined the German Formel 3 Cup. Although he scored race wins and podium finishes, the series is not considered to be on a par with the British Formula Three Championship or the Formula Three Euroseries. He finished 7th in his rookie year.
In 2005, He finished 3rd in the German F3 championship.
In 2006, Ho-Pin Tung won the 2006 German Formel 3 Cup drivers’ title, winning 9 races, 4 pole positions and 5 fastest laps.
On 4th April 2007, BCN Competicion announced that it has signed Ho-Pin as its second driver alongside Japanese driver Sakon Yamamoto for the 2007 GP2 series. [1]
