[edit] Your Adventist Category on the Jaja Wachuku Article

Dear Homagetocatalonia:

Please note that your addition of Adventist Category to the Jaja Wachuku article is wrong. Jaja Wachuku was not a Seventh-day Adventist Christian. He was a Christian of the Anglican Church; and was honoured as a Knight of Saint Christopher [KSC] by the Anglican Communion in Aba, Abia State Nigeria. However, Jaja Wachuku's nephew and author: Ugonna Wachuku is a Seventh-day Adventist in Geneva Switzerland. Please, kindly note that I am respectfully removing your Adventist Category from the Jaja Wachuku article. GOD bless you abundantly!

With love and very good wishes:

(Lord777 10:06, 26 May 2006 (UTC))

[edit] Parizeau

Hi, you've added Jacques Parizeau as a "Roman Catholic politicians", do you have a source ? -PhDP 06:46, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Filmon

I see you've added Gary Filmon to the category "Jewish-Canadians". What is your source for this? CJCurrie 15:49, 29 May 2006 (UTC)

I'm still not certain about this -- it isn't unheard of for B'nai Brith and the JNF to honour non-Jewish members. CJCurrie 02:20, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Need help in discussing a list

Greetings; if you would visit the call for discussion at this page, I'd be grateful for your input. Thanks! Talk:List_of_German-language_philosophers Best, Universitytruth 13:20, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Václav Havel as Category:Roman Catholic politicians

[1]: I'd removed this category. Whether Havel is member of RC church is not widely known and it is also practically irelevant in the Czech Republic. He is not member or supporter of a political party with ties to RC (or any other) church. I believe categories were intended only for the most significant classifications, not for every unverified minor detail. Thanks for understanding. Pavel Vozenilek 16:14, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

[Late answer to [2], apology fo the delay]: I do not think any such classification is significant, at least within context of the Czech Republic. I cannot judge know how he is perceived abroad but my anectdotal personal experience would be label "media icon". Pavel Vozenilek 11:30, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Gun_nogun.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. [edit] Richard Attenborough - atheist?

David Attenborough has often declared himself to be an atheist. Has Richard? Do you have any references? -- SteveCrook 22:06, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Kim Campbell

Hi there, I wrote my two cents to your question on Kim Campbell's talk page Dowew 17:01, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Churches in Windsor

I have proposed this category and all of its contents for deletion; I think this falls under "Wikipedia is not a directory" and also fails notability. I have also proposed some (although not nearly all) of the other Windsor-related articles - the articles on the Hilton and the Radisson, for instance - for similar reasons. If you disagree, feel free to remove my "prod" tags and try to improve the articles or argue that they are fine as they are, on the articles' talk pages. (Although, frankly, I can't see how a Hilton or a generic neighborhood church would merit an encyclopedia article.) Brianyoumans 02:17, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Citation

Thanks for adding the category to Julianne Moore. We generally prefer citations to be left in the article itself, though that's a little difficult here. Please see this edit where I added the citation as a comment. This particular claim is reliable (see WP:RS) but I have not checked the rest of that site to see if all claims are cited as well as that one is. A claim on that website that is not supported would not be acceptable on the Wikipedia. It is quite likely all are as well supported, however. Once again, thanks! --Yamla 00:42, 2 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Federal election issues article

Hi there. I saw you made some edits to Issues in the Canadian federal election, 2006 a while back. I'm proposing this article be deleted under prod because it's entirely obsolete, and hasn't had any human edits since April. Just wanted to let you know, in case you think it's worth saving. -Joshuapaquin 02:14, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dianne Haskett

Yes, Dianne Haskett left the Metropolitan United Church in London, Ontario, several years ago (not surprising, given the United Church's evolving liberal stand on same-sex marriage etc.) and now worships at an Evangelical Gosepl Temple. Where precisely, I'm not sure, but I will endeavour to find out and add it to the article on her. Thanks for contacting me. Keep in touch. Barry Wells 22:57, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Category:John Jay

Hello, I noticed your edits to Category:John Jay. I created the category and, even after reading the style guides for categories, am not 100% clear on how individual-person categories should themselves be categorized; was your edit based on preference, or on stated policy? (Either way is really fine with me, but I'm curious as to what the policy on the matter is.) Thanks, and best from south of the border. Peace, Paul 17:52, 3 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Untagged image

An image you uploaded, Image:Zairew.gif, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 15:50, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] From Slackbuie

Just thought I'd try to answer your question about Apostolic succession in the Church of Scotland here, instead of on the Christian Denominations page. Briefly- in our polity Presbyteries have the role of oversight which in other churches is taken by Bishops. At ordinations, ministers who are members of Presbytery lay hands on the candidate being ordained (a bit of a crowd sometimes!). This is not apostolic succession in the Anglican sense, but it does represent a continuity of faith, so that although we don't often speak about Apostolic Succession in Presbyterian circles, it is possible to maintain that we have a form of Apostolic Succession without bishops. If that doesn't make much sense, please don't lose any sleep over it! Best wishes, Slackbuie 17:35, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jack Layton

I'm having a hard time understanding this post: [3]. Did you intend something else? CJCurrie 23:57, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

I'm not opposed to having some sort of flag in the infobox, but why did you choose a Red Ensign? CJCurrie 04:36, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Children of the Prime Ministers of Canada

Hi there, do you think you could help us out by voting to keep this article? Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Children of the Prime Ministers of Canada. Thanks! -- Earl Andrew - talk 01:32, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Dianne Haskett's place of worship

Dianne, as you're likely aware, is back in Washington, D.C., and is now the publisher and editor-in-chief of www.BelieveBooks.com, a book publisher that focuses on inspirational stories. Rest assured that the United Church is no longer her place of worship. I, however, don't know where she worships, but she's an evangelical Christian. Barry Wells 00:43, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
