Hotel Sterling
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hotel Sterling is a closed hotel in downtown Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania at the intersection of River Street and Market Street. It faces the mighty and often flooded Susquehanna River. A non-profit developer, CityVest, has agreed to buy the Sterling and refurnish it as a new condominium complex.
Both the administration of the City of Wilkes-Barre and the nonprofit organization are mired in allegations of corruption relating directly to the rehabilitation of this property. http://pennsylvaniaprogressive.typepad.com/my_weblog/2007/02/the_hotel_sterl_1.html
