House of Aliaga

This House of Aliaga was constructed in Lima, Peru in 1535 on the site of a sanctuary that existed before colonial times in the city of Lima, Peru. It was constructed at the same time as the foundation of the city, and has since been inhabited by the descendants of the first proprietor. It is one is the oldest mansions of the city and one is in front of the Government Palace, on a parallel street. Their halls, extensive and luxurious and their inner patio, have all the characteristics of the most important mansions of the Historical center of Lima of the viceroyal time. Given the perfect state of conservation, in special circumstances, this mansion usually shelters certain cultural events.
